excerpt; A glimpse ..
The pain inside me had grown louder than my fear of eternal punishment. That afternoon, at two o’clock, I walked into the church and sat before the altar. Tears streamed down my face as I began to sob.
I poured out every buried sorrow, every wound this cruel life had carved into me — the loneliness, the shame, the constant ache of feeling unloved and unwanted. My voice cracked as I whispered my pain to God, knowing that in just two short hours, at four o’clock, I planned to jump to the water and drown myself. I wanted it to be over.
Then Jesus spoke—suddenly, clearly, and with gentle authority.
“You’re tired… fed up… and now you’re ready to give up.” He was repeating my own weary words back to me. Then He added two simple, powerful words that changed everything:
“My turn.”
